this is where i interject with a tidbit from MY CAPITALIST EXISTENCE. my
dad worked for tetra pak, in fact that's how he ended up in russia for the
first place. you see, they own a penal colony in siberia where many of
these cartons that are so popular in the uk and europe are manufactured.
most of the inmates are capitalist "spies" who don't realize that communism
has fallen because the news travels rather slowly up there. ooooh, the
irony!

for those who are impressionable, i just made most of that up. well,
except for two things, you'll have to guess which two. and peter miller
makes a lot of stuff up too.

yeah, they played a cover of "fox in the snow" at the knitting factory
while opening for the magnetic fields about a year ago. how many threads
did i just combine into one concise sentence?

so that's about it. nothing interesting to report unless you think that
sweltering in the summer in new york is terribly exciting. if so, i'll go
on for hours. ;) and girls, i think feminism is alive and well on this
list. we've got hairy armpit's and baby's ass smooth armpits, but to me,
having the pride in yourself to be ableto realize that you're worth
fighting for and that you deserve the chance to start off dead even with
the rest of the world (despite the fact that it will be denied to most of
us one way or the other) is pretty much the point to me. and i think we
all have that.
