Sinister: Take the heat off me for a while...

Stuart Gardiner wrote;

Fantastic idea. We could even turn it into a weekly serial, entitled
'Pete Waterman Investigates', in which our hero , an unconventional
ex-cop/'hitman' solves chart-rigging mysteries, aided by his bumbling
sidekick Michaela Strachan. Wicked.

I'll probably watch 'Eyes Wide Shut' when it comes out over here. I saw
a review of it, I think it may have been in The Star (an awful UK
tabloid - I don't recall exactly *why* I was reading it). Anyway, this
was a three word review, reading simply "Eyes wide shit". And that was
it. And I must confess, dear readers, I laughed. Out loud.

Don't be asking me about perfect mates. I'm going on a date tonight
with a lovely girl who owns a clothes shop and lives on a boat. I've
fancied her for ages. We're going to hers for food and booze, but I
have a question: what is the accepted etiquette when it comes to
driving to somebody's house (or boat), and drinking? I want to get
drunk with her, but doing so will mean staying over, and I don't want
her to think I'm just after a shag. What do I do/say at that crucial
point, after a couple of vodka & tonics, when I know if I drink anymore
I won't be able to drive home? Umm. A taxi isn't really an option, as
she lives miles away.

Your thoughts please. You know how much they mean to me.
