Sinister: Jazz and Cajun Food

Hello, my pesky sinisterines,

Stuart Murdoch has always cited the works of C S Lewis as being one of
his main influences. Now, I was re-reading The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader
the other day and I came across this on page 145: ' "Yes," said Caspian,
"and let there be grog all round. Heigh-ho, I feel I could sleep the clock
round myself." ' Ah! I thought. Maybe he's more influenced than we thought.
Odds-on their next song being called "And let there be grog".
Stephen mentioned the #sinister chatroom. It's something I've always
said I'd try but never have, as yet. In fact the only time I've ever been in
a chatroom I was a bit silly.
It was a hot day and I was bored so I decided to go for a walk. On the
way I passed Alex's house and thought I'd see if he was in. Alex answered
the door, tucking in his shirt, and told me to come in. He'd been on the
internet he said, and I could come and have a look if I wanted. Now, I'd
never seen such technology before, and was pretty amazed that you could
communicate with people on the other side of the world with this machine.
There didn't even seem to be a place to put the coal in. Alex showed me a
site where there were loads of chatrooms on lots of different subjects. As a
couple of aspiring young sophisticates we thought we'd try the one labelled
"Jazz and Cajun Food".
We bluffed our way on this for a few minutes, saying how we thought Jazz
was "nice", and how we liked to drink Bourbon "from a straight glass". Then
somebody decided we looked interesting and started to talk just to us. Alex
ran out and got his "Best of Jazz" CD and we tried to appear knowledgeable
by reading things off this. I said I played the trombone (truth) in a famous
band called The Jazz Kats (horrible lie) and liked Miles Davis. We said he
was "cosmic". Now our friend happened to be a huge expert on Mr Davis, not
surprising really seeing as he played in the Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra, or
something. Aslan's beard! Alex dropped the "Best of" CD and we fled the
chatroom, mumbling "I have to go now" and falling over our tails that were
firmly between our legs (ooh!). Then we felt really guilty that we'd
decieved this chap who seemed like a really decent bloke.
So I've never tried it since. I guess I'll give the sinister chatroom a
go, but I'll be honest this time, and I'll admit that I know very little
about Jazz, and I've never even tried Bourbon unless you include those
chocolate biscuits.
I'm reading a book about Yuri Gagarin at the moment called "Starman".
It's dead interesting. The only hero that communism would allow, apparently.
Sorry about the lack of relevance of any of this as I know nothing about
female masturbation and little about love. But I do know this: I like being
in
love, it's the best thing in the world. I like the way it's always a
surprise when
you stumble upon it (love, that is not masturbation, although that would be
a
surprise, certainly). And I like to see people who are in love. It always
makes
me feel happy.

To make up for the lack of smut, here's some rude words: bottom, nipple,
nob, nob cheese, arse.

See you folks in London. I'll probably be keeping a low profile cos I've
got some Cockney's on my case...

                                    love from Robin
