Sinister: sex in schools

I remember sex ed in 5th grade.  The teacher described masturbation as
"manipulation of the sex organs".  A few of the other boys asked me
quietly if I would ask the teacher to explain.  So I asked him, what is
masturbation again?  I asked some strange questions just to see them
squirm.  "When you go to the hospital to get this done..."  No, you don't
go to the hospital for that.  "OK, then what is masturbation again?"  We
never did get a comprehensible answer out of the teachers.  We knew just
enough to make the subject quite awkward for them.
