Im sorry, i have to leap to the defence of 'rhoda'. It is a lovely
song and well deserved of a release. It better than a lot stuff
they've already put out (although i wont say what, dont want to open
up THAT can of worms). And it does say faggot friends.

I just discovered yo la tengo and they are cool, cool as a midsummer
morning on a lilo in a swimming pool with a cocktail in one hand and a
fat cuban cigar in the other, blowing smoke rings into the shimmering
air, knowing that moments like these should be savoured or soon
forgotten in the hurly burly world we live in today, full of fast cars
and cheap.....er...sorry, just turned into a raymond chandler
voice-over for a second. That keeps happening, more and more since i
met HER, with her hair swirling in the moonlight, the look in her eyes
like she'd never seen another man before and.....er, oops, done it
again.

I better go before i say too much, reveal the deep, dark secret that
lay behind her eyes like a movement in the shadow of a dark
alley...damn.
