Hmmm.
I've had a voice for awhile but this is its virgin voyage.
As I'm no pop guru, I've just been listening to all of Sinister's witty
banter, etc.
Until now!
So...
Hi.
I'm Amanda.
I love Belle and Sebastian.
And...
I'm...in a sorority!
Do you hate me?
Do you think I'm an elistist pig?
Are you wondering how many pairs of khakis I own?
(for the record, 1)

It's a very bland argument, but the Greek system is made up of hundreds
of national sororities and fraternities, which have hundreds of
chapters, on hundreds of campuses, including a gazillion members.
I've met loads of Greek dickheads.
There are plenty of people who like to hide behind their letters,
thinking that they're endowed with superhuman powers just because other
people know they have friends.
Of course...and I'd be a fool not to admit it.
But we don't pay to have these friends.
These are social organizations.
We pay to buy coloring books for children's hospitals, but also to
throw parties (ie buy lots of booze).
Where lots of people drink too much, play bad music, etc.  But that
happens sometimes.
And it depends on the sorority/fraternity.

I do love my sorority.  I've met hundreds of amazing people and have
made lifelong friends.
Then again, I've met hundreds of sucks and made lifelong enemies!
It just depends who are you and what you seek.

I've been living in Geneva for the past year so I have been out of the
loop for awhile.
But I'm coming back to the States in July so I hope to see some of you
D.C. sinisterites around!
