Eh... It has aged a bit better than I would have expected, but _Rio_ was
the clear peak IMO. That Arcadia album was underrated and overlooked.
Effective, "arty" synth-pop.

A friend and I had a conversation about this the other day. I had tried
to arrange a post-show meetup at the B&S show in Chicago. More recently I
tried to arrange a Chicago-area meetup. I still haven't met any
listmembers from the area. People in the UK seem to have no trouble using
a forum like this to meet others with similar interests and dispositions.

Another friend's wife, who lived in upstate New York most of her life,
observes that people in this area (Chicago) seem to be too self-absorbed
or too self-consciously hip to be sociable -- worse than NYC in her
opinion.

So many people seem to be bogged-down in the "I'm So Busy" syndrome. Maybe
people simply are more open and friendly outside of large, American
cities. I have no spare time, but I am able to find time to do the things
I want to do. (E.g. taking a day to meet some good people in Wisconsin.)
