hello folks,

whenever people start reminiscing about spangles and
fraggles i must admit i fail to be washed away on a
tide of emotion...  even so, even i have moments when
i start to wonder "whatever happened to..."  and never
more so than when i think about GOLDEN NUGGETS.

you see, GOLDEN NUGGETS were my favourite breakfast
cereal as a child, and then one day at the start of
the eighties POW! they were gone forever...  or so i
thought until last week when they were sat there on
the supermarket shelf for the first time in twenty
years, with a story on the side of the box about how
the original gold mine dried up or something.  anyway,
i'll be having a bowl tonight.

what other consumables have i purchased this week?
well, there was this bottle with "non-carbonated
isabelle" written on it.  "imported from france" it
said.  so i had to buy it didn't i?  here's what it
says on the side of the bottle:
