hello to you all :)

here is the news ...

belle & sebastian
-----------------

*the b&s documentary as previously mentioned on this list will now get a
terrestrial broadcast, but sadly only in scotland :( it will be
broadcast this friday 09/07 on bbc scotland, check local guides for
times ...

*we've organised some club promotions across the u.k. to celebrate the
re-release of 'tigermilk'. we've tried as much as possible to choose
cool and fun nights out which can be little belle and sebastian events
rather than just give promos to massive clubs. as such you'll find that
a few of these are quite small, but you should have a good night out.

each club will have lots of badges & posters to give away, and they also
have a few 'tigermilk' cd's and sets of the ep's on cd, whether they
just give them away or have little competitions to win them depend on
the club in question. but simply put, there's lots of goodies up for
grabs, this all our way of saying thank you for everyone's support in
the past and to try and give you all presents and a good night out in
return :)

miscellaneous
-------------

*just a quick plug for a new tv programme in the u.k. it's for a series
called 'young gifted & broke' and they have asked us to relay the
following information:

"a new tv series seeks talented young artists of all disciplines who
would like the opportunity to showcase their work and raise their
profile on tv.

singers, dancers, actors, directors, comics, musicians, visual artists,
designers, craftspeople, photographers, filmmakers, video artists,
performance poets, animators and any all young, gifted and broke artists
considered.

call zoe or josie on 0171 916 2266; e-mail: ygb at bigfoot.com; ygb, po box
91, london, nw5 3wq, u.k."

so if you're based in the u.k. and interested, get in contact with them!

that's about it for now. n.p. the debut album from a fabulous band from
melbourne called sleepy township (on chapter music), the new v-twin
single (which is out at the beginning of august on domino) and elliott
smith's 'xo' album ... *sigh*

until next week ...

cheers,
katrina @ jeepster
