Sinister:Bunch of Loopers

Hello people.  Enjoying your Sunday?  I feel cheated if I don't get a
lazy Sunday cos they are, after all, meant for doing all the nothing
you didn't have time to do during the week.

Looper are in last week's NME, in the On section for new bands.  Some
extracts for your delectation:

~~*~"The songs come from things that have happened to us, from watching
Colombo, things we do during the day," says Stuart.  "It's playful,
like constructing things out of cardboard boxes when you're young."
Given Stuart's other band conducts itself like a covert organisation,
it's caused some amazement that Looper is an open house.  It talks. 
He smiles.
"I did most of the Belle & Sebastian interviews at the start, quite a
lot with Stuart (M) as well before it all got crazy and out of hand. 
Stuart doesn't do interviews because..." he thinks carefully. 
"Because he chooses not to.  Then everyone else in the band stopped
because it's hard to answer a lot of these questions if you don't know
where the songs come from."
How do Belle & Sebastian feel about Looper?
"Everyone was doing other stuff first," says Stuart.  "They always
come when we do shows and stuff - I think they enjoy it, because they
always come back."
For now, it's a side-project at the centre of their lives.  "I spend
more time on Looper just now than I do playing bass for Belle &
Sebastian," says Stuart.  "And we've got a contract for two albums."
Karn smiles, and turns to look at him.  "And we got married," she
laughs.~*~

Has anyone else ever started crying, and then it's as if there's a
leak in your tear ducts, and you're like, when did I manage to store
up all this sadness, where did all this come from?  No?  Oh well then.
