I think the label is too involved in discussion among fans.  That is at
the core of the bootleg issues we've talked about, as well as the awards
problem.  It's a fine line between keeping in touch with the fans, and not
knowing when to mind your own business.  The former is a wonderful thing
that I appreciate.  Even just that it shows that you are, above all, fans.  
But the latter can cause trouble. To host a discussion list, rather than a
news list, I think is to be too involved.  The community can and probably
should organize itself without your involvement.  You would have been able
to solve the dilemma with a news list.  The domain and the rest of it all
seems perfectly reasonable.
