This reminded me of a conversation we had with my friend's boyfriend at the
pub, the Duke of Gloucester. A 2nd floor establishment, you couldn't miss
the glaringly bright Scientology building across the road (complete with a
Big Brother cafe on the ground level!!), so it came up in conversation. He
claimed that it's just a huge tax write-off for the stars, and the only
reason they get involved. So I suppose they pump their money in and it comes
back to them as some sort of massive tax return. 

Perhaps the Gentle Waves should consider that option once they make millions.
