We went to see The Electric Sound Of Joy last night and they were 
really good. They were better with a singer, mind you. I was tempted 
to offer my services as a singer, but I don't think they'd be quite 
as good if they were called The Electric Sound Of Mild Disappointment 
And A Slight Headache, Lets Go Home And Have A Cup Of Tea, so I 
didn't.

I agree. I reckon the best thing about Stuart's lyrics is that 
they're always pretty detached, even when they're written in the 
first person, so they're never self indulgent. I think B + S are 
about the people who don't wave their hands and shout "look at me I'm 
soo miserable", like Stephen Dalton does, so they have to be sung 
for because they're too quiet to sing about themselves. That's 
probably why they attract pretty hopeless people like me, I 
suppose.
But Nick, just because I agree with you it doesn't stop you 
being a dirty, dirty tart.

By the way, if anyone wants to vote for me on the list crush site 
I'll be your best friend. I had a look the other day 
and Arantxa's got one vote but I'm not even on the list. How 
depressing. I'm prepared to stoop to any level of humiliation, you 
know, so come on kids!
