Sinister: franny and zooey/philly sleater-kinney show

hello all...
franny and zooey, i read part of it-- i read franny and just a bit of the 
beginning of zooey.  i do this with a lot of books.  but i thought that 
franny was absolutely amazing.  i bought my dad "raise high the roof beam" as 
a present once but i've yet to steal it from him.  in school last year, 
however, we read "nine stories"-- i forget if this has been discussed on the 
list or not yet-- but if you like salinger or books at all it's definetely 
one you should pick up.  on a second note--

sleater-kinney show at the troc last night!  very very good.  (hi julia) 
anyone here heard flin flon?  i liked their songs that were so absurdly 
simple that they were complex, or something.  and the drummer whose glasses 
kept falling down.  mary timony was awesome, but had technical problems with 
the mike...sleater-kinney were great.  2 encores.  and i saw a fella with a 
"sinister" shirt.  so if you're here, hi there!
