Sinister: franny and zooey

I read it. It's not bad. It has a nice opening, sort of a scene between
two bored, young New York socialites. Well, he's bored and petulent, she's
not. From there on in, it just continues to chronicle a few weeks in the
life ofa bored, petulent young man in New York in the 50's. 

I'd like to see either Franny and Zooey or Catcher made into a film. Has
that ever been done?
