i finally found out the name of the bloke who wrote the book
for the greatest british film ever, Withnail & I (!). and i
just figured id see what you brits think of his stuff. name's
Bruce Robinson. he's got a fairly new book out called 'The
Peculiar Memories of Thomas Penman'. i havent had a chance to
pick up this book yet, but here's a few lines quoted in a
review i found:

(of the boy Thomas's first act of love)
"[he] could feel her racing heart and, as he began to f***
her, something cold going up his arse. Was it her? It wasnt.
It was a dog, a f***ing Corgi, sniffing and licking his bottom.
He had paws on Thomas' back, and was trying to mount him."

mmmmm, sinister! anybody familiar with Mr Robinson's work? id
like to find out about more stuff he's written.


well they seem to be going around, so here's a joke me grampa
told me:

two Canadian guys are in the bar. growing bored, they decide to
play 20 questions. the first guy, coming up with the answer, he
thinks a "moose cock". so they begin: the second guy asks "is it something 
good to eat?" to which the first chap chuckles a bit
and replies "yeah, i supose you could eat it!" then the second
guy says "is it a moose cock?"
