Nick isn't very twee, not very twee at all. In fact I'd go so far as to say 
that he isn't twee at all*. I was called a twee goth last week. By a hippy. 
I can understand the twee bit but not the goth part. "Why am I a goth?" I 
queried, "Because you have a long black coat" was the reply. I tried to 
explain that I only wear my long black coat because it is warm and I was 
cold but it was to no avail. Perhaps my Cramps badge also affected judgement 
but it was right next to a Belle & Sebastian one so they should have 
cancelled each other out. Perhaps the Caberet Voltaire badge on my bag is 
doing something unexpected...

I went to Glasgow for the very first time last weekend, we stayed in a flat 
that, apparently, is only a few doors down from Mick Cooke. It's also 
underneath a flat owned by the keyboard player from Del Amitri. We kept him 
awake by playing 'name that (obscure) tune' with our kind host. I got 
'Mongoloid' by Devo and precious little else. Our kind host - Glasgow's 
premier pedantic person - offered to take us to a cafe on Sunday morning 
where "Belle & Sebastian sit and be twee" but we didn't have time.

On Saturday night at The 13th Note Cafe I thought I saw one or two of the 
Sinisterites who'd been to All Tomorrow's Picnics but I was too busy to go 
and say hello. I picked up the latest issue of Papercuts last month courtesy 
of the ubiquitous Monsieur Trousers last month, a very good read it was too. 
Better than 'How To Tell If Your Missus Is Turning Into A Lezbo' in the 
Sunday Sport anyway.
