Apologies for the quality of subject line, there have been somegood ones
around...

Well hello there.

We'll take the "I love autumn" thing as read for the mean time, on my
part at least, though I do, especially those beautiful, sunny, cloudless days
you only ever get around mid-October in Britain, when theres leaves on the
ground and they haven't quite lost their crunch as you walk through them.
Never quite got the same warm feelings about the prospect of winter though,
perhaps because where i live, it never does it properly. Sure, it gets cold,
but it hardly ever snows to last more than a day or so and unless you like
freezing fog and aggressive rain i can find little to recommend it. That and
at least autumn is properly defined, that is you can tell when it begins and
ends which is different from all the other seasons that just blend together
kind of seamlessly. I think B+S fit inmore with a time of day than a time of
year, say mid to late afternoon at home when you can lean back a little and
listen...

I'm not really sure where i stand on the obscure v. mainstream [who loves
music more?], debate as it strikes me at first as rather pointless being as
it is somewhat subjectve in its very nature. The way i view it, most of the
music i like is vaguely obscure, it doesn't mean i love it more for this
reason, it just signifies that less people share my musical taste - not
always a plus, i have to explain what everything sounds like [citing
influences people haven't heard of], and find this a little trying
sometimes, though again this isn't because of peoples' lack of love, merely
their lack of curiosity. It also hinges on how you define love - at least,
love as it relates to musical expression/identification which for quite a
few people i know borders on obcession. I haven't got an answer, not even
much of an opinion so i shall end my ramblings here.

Adam
