and the answer to that is most definitely yes. take me and steve for 
example. email progressed to chatting progressed to phone calls progressed 
to meeting in person progressed to acknowledging smitten-ness. now we're 
engaged. all the cool kids are doing it.

I can think of half a dozen other established couples that have met via this 
list. i hope belle and sebastian realize what they're doing...
