Sinister: degrassi encounters

With all this talk of Degrassi, I wanted to share my brush with a Degrassi 
star.

The director of the original Degrassi programme, whose name I forget, is a 
film studies professor at my old university (Queen's University in Kingston, 
Ontario, Canada). Well, the old guy would occasionally go drinking at Clark 
Hall Pub, where I used to work. And I would chat with him. Little did I know 
that anyone outside Canada knew of Degrassi...I thought it was just a 
canadian show that had to be on t.v. to fulfill our canadian content laws.

So, I used to bartend for a small "c" celebrity, but a celebrity 
nonetheless, to quote Kids in the Hall.
