Sinister: The Robin Hood of Sinister

Hello there ladies and gents.

Well it's been a while, but I shan't apologise. I've
had a week off work and snooker's been on. I watched
just about every bastard game but missed the final
last night, which sounds like it was a stormer. Sad to
see Ronnie knocked out, and my second favourite
Anthony Hamilton went didn't make the semis either.
Anthony is from Nottingham, and is thus referred to by
Dougie Donnelly as 'The Robin Hood of Snooker'. Nice.
The boy retained his world ranking at number 10 so
good luck to him.

I was assured that the final would be on at the pub,
so I went along, only to find rugby on telly. I was
very proud to watch the England boys defend our
country's honour. I would have enjoyed it much more,
however, if rugby were not an incomprehensible game
played solely by fat puffs.*

We supported Mogwai in Manchester despite having been
drinking heavily all day. Bit of a drunken argument
onstage but I don't think that anybody noticed. I had
never met them before but a lovely bunch of guys and
big drinkers to boot. Hats off. I am still deaf in one
ear after their show mind you.

It was good to be back in Nottingham as well for a few
days. Helped my mate Joe move into a big new house,
and took me Dad's dog for a walk around the Uni
campus. I kept an eye out for Arantxa and Robin but to
no avail.

It's fairly shit going back to work after a holiday
isn't it?
