Sinister: Random thoughts; but nothing worthwhile to say really

Alright there?

This is the first time I've sent to this list. I just got the wee mail thing
that says "you have a voice."

Headings is it?

USUAL "HOW I GOT INTO...." STORY
I got into Belle and Sebastian two years ago when I bought "Sinister" out of
curiosity in a second hand shop for 7 pounds 99. Bargain or what? Since then
I have praised and played the album to an estimated family/friends/innocent
bystanders audience of many thousands.
Total converts to date = 6.
This meagre total can only be due to my poor sales technique and not B and
S's musical ability.

LECTUREZZZZZZZZZZZ

hour classes of some guy lecturing. anyone have any ideas on how to pass the
time? ( i mean besides actually paying attention)"
Time-killing activity can depend on the size of your class. If there's only
a few people in your class you'll probably be limited to a quick peek at
your mail from that morning or maybe if you're lucky a whispered chat with
friends. In bigger classes you will be able to read a tabloid paper in full,
have a quick snooze or with the subtle use of a scarf you can get away with
listening to a walkman. When I were a lad, classes were so big that I could
regularly do my ironing, have a quick game of cards and then play a game of
football (11-a-side) at any chosen lecture. Had to sit right up the back
though. University funding has dropped since then and subsequently class
sizes should be bigger, so now you could probably hold a small rock festival
and the swots at the front wouldn't notice.
But maybe not.

FASHION
I was out last saturday night and I saw a bloke wearing pedal-pushers.
Alright, so this is unusual in Glasgow but surely it makes a mockery of the
"Are Glaswegians mental and hard?" discussion that filled these pages a few
weeks back. Admittedly, this guy was a day-tripper from Central Scotland and
not a native. But still - not a broken glass or flying fist in sight to
greet the boy.

IT COULD'VE BEEN A BRILLIANT CAREER
Ailsa Ross mentioned (a week ago) that she had a mental hospital named after
her. I used to play football there for a local boys club as an innocent
ten/eleven-year-old. Yes, by a cruel twist of fate our home ground was a
playing field right next to the Ailsa Hospital. Obviously, I hold this piece
of poor council planning directly responsible for my failure to make the
grade as a pro. Nothing puts a budding soccer legend off his game like the
sight of a dozen nutters milling around at the side of the pitch.
My form away from home was sensational, by the way.

RANDOM UNRELATED QUESTIONS PART
Can anyone tell me the following..............

Are there any meet ups or pub crawl type things happening in Scotland
anywhere soon?

Why do you never see anyone in Glasgow wearing a Belle and Sebastian
t-shirt? I just go to the wrong places, do I?

(I know this may sound like a bizarre question but) does anyone know what
school Stuart Murdoch went to?

Also, I assume that the "Juicy Lucy" who sent to this list is not the same
Juicy Lucy who works at a certain sea-front club in Blackpool?
