Sinister: a friend in nyc

Hiya everyone!

I've not been around these parts oh-so much as of late, what with my recent
move and all, so I do apologize if anyone has been especially witty and
informative, and I have failed to inject my snide and often sarcastic
comments for you all...

My question for the day, and I'm sure this has been done to absolute bits:

A good friend of mine is visiting Noo Yawk City soonish, and I was wondering
if someone could just let me know - can be very short and brief and all - of
some good shops, restos, off-the-wall thingies to do, etc.  I only could
supply him with addresses for Kim's and Other Music, so any other help would
be greatly appreciated.
