Sinister: The art of cooking for two... is lost on me and you

Good morrow,

Well, it looks like me and a load of friends will be making our way down to
London on Thursday night for the alternative ATP stuff (though instead of
the Baxendale thingy, the plans are to go to karaoke in Deptford). I was
slightly worried about mentioning the word 'picnic' to them in the same
sentence as 'Belle & Sebastian', but they took it all in their stride - even
sounded enthusiastic. They said that they'll take a stereo along, put the
Jesus & Mary Chain on and that'd be ok. I'll take a Bette Davis & the
Balconettes compilation tape along in case things get *too* twee :). Is
anything happening Friday daytime? Does anyone fancy some sort of pre-poetry
cafe meet/piss-up?

Was listening to the Lucksmiths on the way to the laundrette last night and
very nice it was too. My housemate let me borrow his cd walkman thingy in
exchange for washing his pants. I've also been listening to the new
Tindersticks album loads too - their best yet, IMO.
