Sinister: millenium fug

i just read something called 'the bug and me' about how prepare for Y2K, and 
i can't decide whether the author is a complte nutcase, having a laugh, or 
dead serious.  if the latter i'm very scared, because according to him we 
should be starting to buy pasta in bulk and building generators running off 
rabbit poo in our back gardens.  we certainly can't travel anywhere, which 
scuppers my plans of running away from both xmas and new year and lying in an 
alcoholic stupor in a hut in the carribbean for 2 weeks. 

good luck in the elections erica - thanks to my boyfriend i am now fully 
aware of the horrors of school/town life in your area of hertfordshire, even, 
yes, the prince regent.  sinister will be trusting you to carry the torch of 
individualism, preferably setting fire to a few reebok classics with it along 
the way.

i'm sad that i wasn't included amongst the industrious A people.  imagine, 
all squeezed up in print next to alisdair and ailsa.  makes me tingle just 
thinking about it.  but i guess i don't count as my real name begins with R. 

university challenge:  i'm afraid mark that warwick deserved to be beaten as 
their team consisted of slightly odd looking blokes.  whereas newcastle, 
despite having a loony captain, stormed to victory thanks to the rather 
attractive english student on the end, mmm.  shallow, me?  york have never 
been on university challenge, despite having my boyfriend on the team that 
entered last year.  plus i just discovered that we have not been short-listed 
for any of the student media awards this year.  dammit.  see what happens 
when i leave?

can't think of anything else to say right now, except that (re. erica's 
mention; i am not wilfully introducing this subject) someone from menswear 
was (still is i suppose) related to my sister's best friend.  the whole of 
east sussex nearly died from excitement when that one came out.
