Sinister: the sweet smell of snow on a cold and frosty april morning

hello, how are you all this fine Monday evening?
today it was snowing where i live, i woke up to find a blanket of white on
the ground.  this made me very happy, because i felt all Christmassy, then I
realised that it was the third of April, not the 25th of December, and i
felt sad.  Christmas is my favourite time of year, i love the way everyone
seems to be so happy, the decorations and the general feeling of "woo hoo,
no more work/school for a few more days" etc etc....
so, back to today.  i went to school and showed my friends my photos of the
idlewild concert i went to.  they were not impressed. they don't like
idlewild, b&s, mercury tilt switch, laeto, peeps into fairyland,
sleater-kinney, ash, chicks, seafood, Gorky's, llama farmers, deus, or any
of those "weird scuzzy indie-schmindie bands" (their words, not mine) that i
love.  they all love boyzone, steps, another level and westlife, because
they think that members of these bands are tidy and therefore their
single/albums deserve to be bought....*grrrrrr*  i do not understand this
theory at all, not that i'm saying that members of b&s or idlewild or any of
the above bands aren't nice looking, but their music means more to be than
mere looks......so they decided to blank me all day (for a change)...now, in
a bigger school i would find others who share my love of music, and i do
know my lovely b&s boy, but he lives on the other side of the country
*sob*....but there is only 200 pupils at school, and none of them like the
same sort of music as me!!  majorly aggravating, non?
so i spent most of the day hanging around, listening to my walkman (the boy
done wrong again being my personal fav. song at the moment, along with
Seymour stein) and dreading maths.....well, the day came and went, and now i
am at home, much happier because i am at home, writing a message that will
be seen by 1200 people who may have been in the same position as me and know
what i am going through.  i am sorry my messages seem to be so depressing, i
don't mean to be!!!  i could tell you all a joke, but all the ones i know
are rude and i don't think you'd like them...well, here's a non-rude one for
you all.....

an Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman are working on a building site, at
the top of a crane.  they sit down for their lunch together, and open up
their lunch boxes.  the Irishman goes "oh no, cheese and pickle sandwich
again!!  if i get this tomorrow, i'll jump off the crane"  the Englishman
goes "god, a peanut butter sandwich!!  if i get this tomorrow, i'll jump
too!"  and the Scotsman goes  " another ham sandwich, if i get this
tomorrow, i'll jump with you both"....so the next day, they're back and they
open their lunchboxes.  the Irishman finds a cheese and pickle sandwich, so
he jumps off the crane.  the Englishman finds a peanut butter sandwich, so
he jumps as well and the Scotsman finds a ham sandwich, so he throws himself
off the crane.    at the funeral, the widows are sat together consoling
eachother.  the widow of the Irishman goes  "oh, if he had just told me, i
would have made something else", the widow of the Englishman goes "i know,
Arthur never said anything to me either"  and the widow of the Scotsman says
"well, i don't know why Jock did it, he always made his own lunch"  !!!!!!

okay, not exactly hysterical, but it made me smile....
