Sinister: train thoughts

Hello people with confidence,
This is my first post. I had to say that, because it seems to be some rite
of passage. And I couldn't have slipped through the cracks, could I?
Someone was bound to find me and label me a fraud.
And I must say that everyone seems to know what they are doing, like those
people on busy streets who don't look left and right twice like I do.
I live in Florida, amidst the humidity and falling coconuts. Anyone else in
Florida? Someone once said that they would like to live in America. And I
think: Are you out of your mind? Maybe in New York, with its subway
system, or somewhere else, but definetly not Florida. Every time I go to
England I wish I lived there, but maybe this is a naive thought. So I would
like to ask.. would you like to move to America? And if yes, why?
I am infatuated with trains. For some they are dingy but for me they are
wonderful.. . I have only been on three systems, New York, Tokyo, and
London. Admittedly some are shitty in smell and appearence but I love
riding trains, and feeling responsible and cool, listening the best of B+S.
I try not to make eye contact with the passengers, but I do stare at them
when they're not looking, and make mental notes about their dress and make
stories about their lives. I know I'm not alone.
My favorite band of the week.. Cornelius. What a cool guy. Horrible
haircut, however.

A list
#2 songs on B+S cds, excluding singles, in order from best
1. Seeing Other People
2. The Model
3. Expectations
4. Sleep the Clock Around

I love them all, the #2s. For me #2 songs are significant in that they must
try to overshine the first songs on the albums. I think numbers 3 and 4 on
my list succeed in doing that.
Thanks for listening to my palling incessant chatter. You can go now, to
do better things.

Lila

...On March 1997
I was the only one in the world humming a song
called "Just Like Honey"...
