someone said, i think it was lawrence, that all of the
flying nun bands from the 80s should be remembered and
of course he is right. i remember not too long ago me
flying approximately 3 light years down to nz and
taking in the 15th anniversary nunfest and now look
what has happened to them. so sad. if only goblin
mix had reformed for me. i did get to throw up on
some fraser guy from the holmes show, not because i
had partied but cause being the sissy i am i couldn't
handle the croissants on ansett.
lawrence also mentioned graeme downes, could there be
a more underappreciated genius on this planet? likely
not, each and every verlaines record, counting even
the ones post-literary references, is brilliant,
truly. but his look needs amending, the todd rundgren
coif and hat are pretty shaky.

someone said they were shocked that their dad called
b&s stony, i was expecting the rest of the story to be
their dad was next going to admit he was stony as
well, ah but thank goodness that didn't happen. then
someone chimed in in a condescending tone mentioning
he smoked and thus was enlightened by this and by
being a b&s fan.

the weather man just used the phrase 'cold front'
gasp!!!!! 52 days over 90, and a new football stadium
that is swallowing the city.

i like the baxendale album, but then i am american so
i have no idea what irony is.

when every reviewer says 'the model' is stuart murdoch
treading on the same ground which song do they mean it
sounds like? i can't find any soundalikes.

someone said they hide belle and sebastian cds in each
record store they visit, thank goodness all of the
fans who arrived before you didn't do this eh?

a long time ago someone said they wantd to be
canadian, i was canadian until i was 19, i was
american too, see i was a canadian born abroad as my
parent's were both canadian citizens. i never once
considered validating my canadian citzenship when i
turned 19.
i like milk in bags though and coffee crisps.

someone said they want to move to america, come on
over! forget all the self-haters, it is trendy to say
how much america sucks but it doesn't really.

my girlfriend has been emailing alasdair from the
clientele, he's a swell guy, and he says a hopkirk and
lee album is imminent!!! yay!!! this is earth
shattering news, they are the new moose and scottish
even. i don't think alasdair much likes the fact that
the relict sound exactly like the clientele.

i liked it when stuart murdoch said that to him primal
scream meant velocity girl, someone needed to reclaim
velocity girl's glory from the disaster that was the
band that stole the name. jim beattie/navajo is
touring here with adventures in stereo but of course
nowhere near denver. denver needs to move to a
trendier location.

ok i am done. bye.
