Before these threads unravel into nothingness, a word on the Rod Stewart /
Magnetic Fields debates. All problems would be solved if Rod recorded a
cover of lumberjack disco karaoke favourite 'Sweet Lovin' Man'. Miller,
Casarotto and everyone else on the opposing sides could go home happy. Or
could they? Perhaps not, for Rod has his own way with covers - just think of
his takes on 'Street Fighting Man' and 'Dirty Old Town'. He would probably
start the song with the chorus, then sing the second verse; then another
chorus, then a bridge that he'd penned himself:
Yes, I *need*
A sweet lovin' *man*
Mama, let me tell you
Aout the love of that sweet man
That sweet lovin' man
etc.
