Sinister: Our Doll Selves and other topics

hello hello,
sitting around in my pajamas at 11 am on a sunday reading my sinister 
digest.
i've always thought it would be interesting to have a doll self, y'know?
actually for the last few years off and on, i've toyed with the idea of 
portrait marionettes of people i know.  i don't know what to carve them out 
of though.  wood, i guess.
has anyone heard of the punk rock opera the Transfused?  it was written by 
Nomy Lamm, and the Need, and performed in Olympia, Washington in July.  i 
sort of missed it, but they have a soundtrack and it is really good.  i'm 
going to try to bring it to Portland.
