Sinister: Chalet Lines

OK, help please:

What is a Chalet Line?  I know what a Chalet is, and I know what a Line is,
but put the two together and I don't see it.

But then, I'm always a little slow.  I thought it was Stuart who was raped,
until I realized the girl's pregnant.

So any info on the meaning of this term would make me glad.
