Sinister: fleas, markets and trousers

Gary Maher: not just 'you americans' but 'we brits' refer to those
biza...sorry bazaar thingies as flea markets. But does anyone know why?
I've certainly never come away from one itching. I heard once that the
fleas that infest humans are all descended from the deer flea. Which does
call into question the habits of our ancestors. See, it could have been far
worse, Ken, your father might have suspected that you had illicit carnal
relations with Bambi.

Liz: I, too saw those trousers in Parks Road, but in my case curiosity got
the better of me and I *did* actually don them in the hopes that they were a
portal to another universe. I was not disappointed. This new universe was
identical to the one we inhabit in every respect, with one small exception,
nobody but nobody drew on the faces of wet, sleeping picnickers.

For those coming to the Oxford picnic....the University Parks are utterly
devoid of umbrellas! The next record-breaking attempt will have to wait
until the next Greenwich one I'm afraid.

Now, who took those pictures......?!

Mark.
