Sinister: Isobel and Sarah

That IS a revelation to me, that Sarah sings on Waiting for the Moon to Rise
and not Isobel (confusion can result from sparse sleeve notes). Hmmn. Two
things arise from this. Firstly, I had been picturing (and almost falling in
love with) the wrong girl when listening to that song. Sarah has shot up in
my estimation, having previously just been a background figure. Secondly, I
am glad, as I can go back to disliking Isobel Campbell intensely, safe in
the knowledge that my disposition towards her is based on musical grounds in
the first instance. But I suppose cussing her is old hat.
I made another mix-up regarding Isobel, which involved her lyrics. At first
I thought she was singing 'I would rather be fat AND be confused' rather
than 'I would rather be fat than be confused'. I prefer the lyric I
misheard. If she would rather be fat and confused (which she may well be in
real life, though she strikes me as a rather sussed person) this suggests an
arch, more B and S take on the world. The latter, actual lyric seems more
like a straight-forward mantra against eating disorders. I suppose that's
life affirming though.
