ok, here's the news as on the site:::

LATEST NEWS: the 1st march recording session for the john peel show has
regrettably been cancelled so the band can put the finishing touches to the
forthcoming album. it is hoped that this will be re-scheduled soon.

Also, just received this from Mandi Freeman at Radio 1 in Scotland:

Thought I'd drop you a note to let you know that I'm just back from Cava Studios
in Glasgow where we were recording a tribute session to Ennio Morricone, featuring
Isobel.

The band recorded 2 numbers for Session in Scotland. Isobel sang "Argomenti" -
originally recorded by Astrid Gilberto - and it's just beautiful. The second track
was The Good The Bad & The Ugly - well it had to be, really!

The band included Mick Slaven (Leopards), Bill Wells (collaborator with the likes
of Future Pilot and Telstar Ponies), and David Scott (Pearlfishers).

Both songs will air on the Session in Scotland on Thursday 2 March (Radio 1,
Scotland only, 8 'til 10 pm).

A tribute night for Ennio Morricone will also be held on 11th March 2000 entitled
MONDO MORRICONE. The venue is to the Cowane Theatre (69 Cowane St, Stirling, FK8
1JP. Tel: 01786 462367).

There will be performances on the night by artists from: Belle & Sebastian,
Teenage Fanclub, BMX Bandits, The Pearlfishers, The Vaselines, The Pastels. Please
note that this is NOT a Belle & Sebastian gig, it is simply one or two of the
members of Belle & Sebastian participating in the tribute to Ennio Morricone.
