Sinister: Wooden spoon sounds

Greetings,
          I've just discovered the woonderfully warm sound that can be made 
by banging a wooden spoon on the bottom of a pan of porridge. An addictive 
action really: I could have spent the whole day by the oven, tapping away. 
But the porridge began to stick to the bottom of the pan so I had to tear 
myself away and enjoy the almost equal pleasure of consuming a whole pan of 
the stuff.
          It's quite odd really, this is my first message to the list, and I 
guess I should have something more relevant to spurge about than the random 
music of my kitchen utensils. Still, that's life, and I've never been very 
good at introducing myself. I'll call it shyness, or shyety or a tendancy 
towards being shy. Whichever takes your fancy really. Well, greetings, and I 
hope being on this list warms me towards my new computer which as yet has 
made no attempt to make me feel at home with its rather large screen.
