Hello Sinister listee's.  This is a joint post...from
the entire chapter of Belle and Sebastian fans..or so
it seems..in Atlanta.

(turns to sarah...)
Leyla: shall we introduce ourselves?
Sarah:  this is weird,...stop typing what i say.
Leyla:  its okay, they know its our first time. 
Sarah: stop with the sexual innuendoes!!!
Leyla: okay...well...lets just er...say hello.

Leyla:  Sarah and I are good friends, she made me join
the Sinister list, yay!..She also introduced me to the
world of B&S... now i am as cool as she.

Sarah:Leyla is one of my favorite people in the whole
world! She & I are going to London together to see the
sights...

Leyla:  I would just like to say..everyone..spell it
"favourite"  damn it. Yes, we are going to be hitting
the streets of london and edinburgh from march 2 to
the 13th.  If you see some silly drunk rockstars..
(there will be 6 of us)..say hello.  I'll be the tall
one with fucked up hair.  (though i pretend i have
reason to have fucked up hair cos i think i am mod,
but im not)

Sarah: You are too mod, Leyla, don't be modest. Leyla
was born in London and prefers the 'proper' way to
spell... Bollocks!!!

Leyla:  yes, im not really modest, but..this is the
B&S list..so i have to be shy..and demure.  If she
gets to say bollocks..i get to say  WANK!!  yeah!

ANYWAY

Various Belle and Sebastian fun facts:

Sarah: met stuart murdoch and Belle! and Chris too!
Leyla: didn't see B&S because no one would take her,
but my parents dont mind hearing B&S when i play
it..only band they dont complain about.
Sarah: I just got a new bootleg of B&S! It has the
song Lord Anthony on it, which is brilllllllllllliant.
(with lots of L's) ..and a version of Slow Graffiti
that makes me cry...
Leyla:  Sarah gave me a B&S pin.  So now i am a true
rockstar. ahhhh yeh.  WE also met Angela off of the
Sinister list...for our own type of B&S meetup at a
pub in atlanta.
Sarah: Angela, aka I Hate My Last Name, lovely girl
really!
Leyla:  Sarah is going to dye her hair black.  then we
will be in Suede.  I wont talk about suede
though...cos's this is B&S.  (p.s. i am neil codling,
i swear)
Sarah: Black won't really suit me and I have a fear of
looking goth, but It is the only color I haven't
tried. Sorry Leyla, colour.
Leyla: :) Sarah is lying, she is goth. She loves
skinny puppy and bondage clothing. Okay, just kidding.
She doesnt.  She is a hipster.

LEYLA SCREAMS:

Sarah: All the posts are long, no one really reads
them the whole way through... Leyla keeps singing me
praises, but really it is she who rocks the casbah!!
Leyla saunters down the cold streets of Atlanta with a
sense of self assurance that could make a shy bald
buddhist cry. 

LEyla:  So if they dont read it..can i say..  WANK!
Wank!.  yay. No. I dont care. ANyhow.  I am shy, damn
it. I like Belle and Sebastian, remember?  Sarah is
great.  I am her little friend.  Okay, so im 6ft tall,
and she is what...5ft4...but...im several years
younger..so i guess i am her little friend.  I am
19..but have the mind and alcohol tolerance of a 22
year old as well.

Sarah: I just want to state for the record that Leyla
is not the lush that she pretends to be! She is quite
tame and only climbs up on top of barstools to scream
to the skies once a week! 

Leyla: come on! dont deny it, im a rockstar. I even
fell asleep in the elevator and forgot to get off on
my floor. hahahaha.  OH...i would just like to
say..right now we are listening to T-Rex.
glam bam, thank you mam.

Sarah: There is something really special in being able
to share the music you love with a friend!! Leyla is
the only friend that I have that is as passionate as I
am about all the same bands. We dance like fools
together and sing along word for word, it is
wonderful!! One of the fundamental reasons for my
theory that life is wonderful, is the fact that there
exists such beautiful music, music that speaks to you
not only lyrically but also musically. There is never
such a bad happening in life that a good song can't
make seem insignificant. 

LEyla:  Sarah is a writer, cant you tell?  She is
smarter than all of you. hahahaha.  Em. dont hurt me
for that, though you are probably not reading this
anymore.  Hit the delete button...see if I care.
Id like to take this moment to say: Way to go for
britpop, 60's mod, northern soul, freakbeat, etc.
Also. i would like to thank...eyeliner,
lipgloss...moppy hair...em...british accents..and er'
guiness for making life possible.  Also, thankyou for
inventing the "2 finger v's" way of saying fuck off..
so i can be vulgar and mean without any Americans
knowing.  Cheers.  And this is where i will end my

Sarah: I am blushing, I hate being called a writer. It
makes me feel as though everything that I write has to
be held up to some sort of standard...I'm still a
student, just finished an undergrad program in English
literature and Philosophy. I could go on for hours
about James Joyce, Leyla had to go off on her musical
ranting and raving. My! This all has to end somewhere.
So goodbye to all! If you have read this far, you
probably should get out more. Haha. "And if you don't
give a damn, you're welcome to keep it!" Nice reading
all of your posts, and even still nice to come out of
the closet of sinister hiding. If you feel so inclined
