Well...here is our second time...

Hello out there to everyone in this Sinister world...

Thanks for all of your well crafted fan mail. We feel
compelled to post to you all again...Now that we have
experience,
(turns to Leyla)
Sarah: Come on think up something witty, they are all
waiting... [for the record we are listening to
Looper's "Who's Afraid of Y2K?" --I just got it in the
mail!! Thanks David Kitchen--you're my hero!]

Leyla: Witty? I cant be witty under pressure..i have
performance anxiety. Hehehehe. (first sexual
reference of post). So, yes. who is afraid of Y2K. I
wasnt afraid of Y2K.. I dont think i actually
understood the implications of Y2K... to me it was
just another New Year, another day wasted...on high
expectation. Yes. Anyhow. OH, I would like to thank
the listers who sent fan mail... and the odd marriage
proposal.. THANK YOU!

Sarah: Sad to say but No, Leyla and I are not looking
to enter into matrimony at this time, but THANKS for
the offer. I want to mention that I was very impressed
with the post that quoted a lovely Yeats poem "He
Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven", well done!!!

Leyla: yes. Matrimony is out of the question. Sarah
and I come in a package you see. You can't have one
without the other! I belive this sort of practice is
illegal... except in some islamic countries. So if
you are a nice Sinister lister from...oh...the middle
east...feel free to drop us a line. Okay. Im lying. WE
dont come in a package. That was all a big joke. Also,
as a sort of disclamer. I love the middle east. I am
half iranian...and also half irish. (weird mix)... so
dont try to get P.C on me!! yeh.
Lets see.. tonight sarah and I are going out...to a
club.. (we get out of the house, y'see)

Sarah: Oh, yes, Leyla wanted to let you all know of
her Persian charms... As for getting out of the
house...well, it is cold out there on the mean streets
of Atlanta. We are lucky enough to know the DJ
intimately. (no, not like that! Cheeky!) We are
freinds with him, he plays whatever songs we have the
whim to request. We make everyone in the place just
sit there and listen to OUR music for a change!

Leyla: Hm. Persian charm. i dunno about that. I'm
not really that persian. or charming for that matter.
well..im 1/2 persian..so i suppose i am also 1/2
charming. yeah. Thats logical. WE are going
dancing...Its great. Last week...our intimate DJ
friend actually played a set of groovy 60's tunes.
Small Faces and the like. But, mainly..we groove to
the sound of more modern songs...charlartans, suede,
pulp, etc.

Sarah: Don't listen to her!! She is too charming, oh
yes, like you wouldn't believe. I watched an old
Audrey Hepburn film today and guess who looks alot
like Audrey in her 60's gear...hmmm....let's guess.
Could it be the oh so lovey Leyla, Yes, that would be
she! She probably won't send a photo in, but I might
perform a covert operation and sneak into her room and
send it myself!! She wouldn't be the wiser...Who'd be
in the top 10 list crush then!!!

Leyla: im just going to pretend she didnt say any of
the above stuff... cos'...no. Yes. Yay! kiddies. We
are coming to london soon. I am so excited. London is
my favourite place in the world. I think it has
something to do with the fact i was born there..and
think i would be happy there...i dunno. Plus, i have
a london underground fettish. I will meet my soul
mate on the london underground. i know it. so..back
to sarah. Sarah is the girl of your dreams. But!! if
you vote for her for list crush...i will probably get
jealous...because she is mine!! mine i tell you!

Sarah: Enough of the silliness, already! On to the
soothing sounds of Belle and Sebastian, yes you all
will know what I mean. Today I was driving on the
highway to come downtown to see Leyla. I drove alone
to "If You're Feeling Sinister" with the window down,
the cold wind blowing round the car, and the heat on
full blast. The CD player was turned up as loud as it
goes, to the 'I want to fill the world with the music
that fills my car' volume level. Yes, these are the
things that make me truly happy.... Ooh, at the risk
of being long winded...I want to say that I was
impressed by Phong's post in which he alluded to
Heidegger, who has a great way of adding metaphor to
philosophical concepts. It was nice to see one of
those metaphors on a post!

Leyla: This morning, I was walking down the cold
streets to University...wearing my
headphones..listening to "Tigermilk"...for a
moment...I didn't notice the homeless begging for
money.. the sound of cars..impatient...reving
engines..all i heard is the sweet sound of Belle and
Sebastian. Set the mood for my day... calm...
I listened to the Verve whilst getting dental work
done the other day..which also helped me. I think
richard ashcroft is the toughest, most self assured
man in the world.. so as the pain worsened...i sang
to myself in my head..."Come on!!!!" Or when the
anesthesia wasn't working.."The Drugs Dont Work"
oh...no they dont.
Now...I say goodbye to you all... my hands are
tired..and there is a great british programme on the
television. So i will be off! feel free to email me:
modpopstar at yahoo.com. Take care, best of luck,
rockstar dreams.

Love and poison
leyla

Sarah: (How's that for an odd mix of topic choices:
music, dental work, and anesthesia!) I won't keep you
any longer...we are off for the evening...So farewell
Sinister friends. I just might die with a smile on my
face after all... (we are now listening to The Smith's
so the line seems appropo)
Cheers,
Sarah

p.s. I just realised that I didnt make enough sexual
references in the post. So for the record: Snogg,
Wank, and Pornography. CHEERS! -leyla
**I'd like to drop my trousers to the World!! -sarah
p.s.s.s. (ssssssss's hA!) oh, please do drop your
trousers sarah! :) (Worked one more in!)
