Sinister: I keep falling in love

I keep falling in love
 I can’t help myself.   Not with real people, 
obviously, that would be silly.  No, I always fall in love with the people I 
invent in hazy daydreams and drunken thoughts.  I guess most are based 
on reality in some way, but abstracted from all the cruel bits that real 
people have tucked away, waiting to be let out one day.

Most people there are horrid to me.   I don’t mind how horrid they are, 
not really, because I can fall in love with some imagined beauty and 
never be let down, until my imagination fails me and my memory lets her 
go.
