Mike spaketh;

Rather spookily, this isn't a bad description of myself [though the
dissapproving looks are usually reserved for me, i have an unnecessarily
open mind as to what constitutes *fun* #. And yes I CAN hear you sniggering
at the back, so stop it...], though the only reason i get up on Saturday
mornings is so i can have the shower and kitchen to myself, before the rest
of the slobs i am compelled to live with get as close as they can to
vertical [Ah, the joys of life in UEA halls of residense]. This
unfortueately means fighting my way to the toaster, and thus tidying the
kitchen on route.

>Kind of like trying to explain the appeal of b&s to those who only hear the
>strings, falsetto warblings and homoerotic intimations yet fail to feel the
>earnest emotion and honesty that has hooked us all

This actually sounds familiar, its the reaction i get every time i try to
explain the relevance of B+S, which is why i gave up, and nowadays give them
a tape or lend them a cd - this works a lot better, though getting the cd
back can often be a pain in the Aspedestra, but not as bad as trying to find
'Bonnie Prince Billy' or 'Magnetic Fields' cds in Norwich...

# Many people for example believe that cycling is an unnecessarily dangerous
and wasteful occupation - I disagree, overtaking car drivers whilst being
sworn at for the privilege is enormous fun...

'til whenever,

Adam
