Okay, that was a bit nasty. Sorry about that. But I have a feeling our fairy
godmother would want it said...

She also wouldn't want anyone going on about football, but I'm going to
anyway. Yes, I'm gutted that Euro 2000 is over, but after both extremes of
gut-wrenching emotion over the last 4 days of the tournament (check my
surname) I think it's a good thing as far as my heart and fingernails are
concerned. Roll on August 12th and Tranmere Rovers...

Yes, the boy on 3,6,9, Motorway is indeed Struan. Girls, you can see his
tits. Boys, you can also see his tits, but for the hardcore winkie shot you
have to be Owen Lowery. 

And the "love, love, love" song - isn't that Winter Wooksie (sp?)? You'd
recognise Rhoda if you heard it because it's just about the most beautiful
thing B&S have ever done. It's pretty naïve-sounding, very simple, folky and
a-fucking-mazing. And it'll never be released. Some things suck.

About writing to the band. Blimey, it's embarrassing to recall this, but
before I even joined sinister I wrote them a...(oh god)...poem. It was about
Helen Love, if I remember rightly. I don't know what I was thinking - that I
wanted to give something to a band who had given so much to me. To show them
how they made me feel. And yet I came across as a weirdo sadboy loser with
no life and no discernible writing talent. So pretty spot on then.
