Sinister: Haircut 100

Hello people,

I reckon I've had about 100 haircuts and not one of them was as good as
Fantastic Day or Love Plus One. Hence, I'm sitting here writing pap as
I'm far too scared to leave the house and visit the barbers. Actually I
wonder what happened to my Nick Heyward solo album with the cracking
Blue Hat For a Blue Day tune on it. I guess I must have thrown it out to
make way for all my B*witched records.

And nor do I Ree. Well except if plied with significant amounts of
alcohol then my mind my get clearer. But I'll be doing a Euan at the
London picnic on Saturday so you'll have to catch me early Mark before I
pass out somewhere and embarrass my parents yet again. As I was the kind
of kid that my parents were embarrassed to be seen with not the other
way round. If when we were out shopping they saw any of their friends
when I was with them they'd run into the nearest shop. Bless 'em, they
had their street cred to think off. I mean would you want to be seen
with someone wearing a Nick Heyward T-shirt? Anyway...

Which has me very concerned about the state of the American education
system. "How shall we teach European history?". We'll show an American
film, about an American selling an American product. Very worrying, I do
think you need to study over here to get a complete education. It really
is your education I'm thinking of here nothing more. Err... anyway, at
least read something like Hobsbawn's Age of Extremes to get a clearer
view of this era, I think we'd all agree you can't go wrong with a bit
of Hobsbawn can you? Not that I would read it myself, I'd far rather
carry on reading Lake Wobegon Days. But I don't need no education.

Talking of which why doesn't anyone talk about Pink Floyd on this list?
As that really would be fun...

Well personally I wasn't repulsed by kissing Duffy's mouth, so I went
out and snogged him, sorry I got carried away there, I mean I went out
and bought his solo album, anyone who's from Duran Duran is fine by me.
I seem to be in a world of 80's pop / trouble today. Next I'll be on
about Spandau Ballet being the true innovaters of shawls in pop music,
but I'll need to do a bit more research on that first. I'm wondering if
Barbara Dickson got their first. Anyway I also have that pleasant little
folky first Lilac Time album too somewhere which I can willingly copy
for you, probably just before I sell if it's worth hard cash.

Ummm... I think we'll agree that this is much more than enough. I want
to be a rock 'n' roll star...

Te ra,

Martin
