Sinister: Message from Australia

Plea for help!

Some of you old-time Sinisterines (a bit like Listerine, only better
tasting) may remember when an exceedingly tall bloke used to roam around
England, getting drunk at picnics, playing football badly, singing badly and
generally getting in the way. Oh, and occasionally posting irrelevant stuff
to the list. Well I'm coming back to England in the autumn, and I'm heading
to Nottingham Trent Uni for the next 3 years. Except I don't have anywhere
to live, and I won't be back from Australia until less than a week before I
start. So, in a blatant bit of list abuse, I was wondering if anyone from
around there could help me find somwhere (suggestions, listings, any info
welcome!)? Just email me on TallGit at beer.com. I'll buy you some alcohol when
I get back...

So what have I been doing in my year off? Building schools for fishermen;
getting stranded without food, water or shelter in the Amazon for the night;
waiting for trains to turn up over a day late; walking through thunderstorms
and heatwaves; and generally having the time of my life...

And now I'm in Australia, where I've spent far too long in Sydney for my own
good (but I'm leaving on Thursday, so I'm in a good mood today!). And if JJJ
radio is to be believed, some band called Belle and Sebastian have a new
single out here next week, only about 2 months late (mind you, this is the
radio station who recently played a record by "Glaswegian hip-hop collective
Looper"...)

See you in October,
Big Stu
