Sinister: Arlington/Washington DC listening party (wed) + PICNIC (sat)

hello all.
i've been lurking around these days.
nothing's really struck a chord with
me recently to make me want to post.

but this now! music & fashion listening
party for FYHCYWLAP is certainly a
reason to pull me out of the woodwork
to pipe in a bit about it.

it's free. it starts at 10pm. it's
at now! music & fashion. there will
be lovely people there. if you have
not checked out the store yet, it
gives you a huge reason to make the
journey! there is going to be free
stuff. apparently [i talked to tim
now! the other day] it is going to
be *catered*. there will be door
prizes and prize paks from matador.

at midnight the new album will go
on sale. yay for b&s!

um. i'll be there with bell(e)s on
and a badge turned upside down of
course. i was handing out fliers
for the b&s listening party at the
sleater-kinney show at the 9:30 club.
that was fun. show up, why don't ya?

we are having the annual DC PICNIC this
coming saturday. it's going to take
place at rock creek park in lot #9.
it will be loads and loads of fun i can
guarantee you. last year we had a ball.
and there was croquet, frisbee, wine,
and more. i participated in the croquet
and that's it! no wine for me. i just
asked christa and she thinks around 20
ppl showed up last year. that seems
right. regardless, come say hi. bring
food. drinks. whatever you'd like to
share around. we had some exotic items
last year. hee!

and finally, while we are on the subject
of d.c./arlington: on 17 june 2000 at
now! music & fashion, an event is taking
place that will rock yr world. it's
called make-out party and i have to
admit that you won't find another event
like it any time in the near future.
5 free bands including barcelona,
anne summers, the mallstars, and devon
green. come around 12:30. bands start
at 1:00. it may last as late at 5,
then you can jet off to see the cure.
hee. cos it's the same day. regardless,
