Congratulations to Belle & Sebastian for achieving their ambition of
appearing on Top Of The Pops at last. They all looked like they really
enjoyed themselves: Struan's dancing & idiotic grin were a pleasure to
behold, Isobel smiled (quite becoming, perhaps could be done more often in
public) & the others grooved like monkeys too. I never realised that Stevie
was so tall.

There was a guy playing bongos, was that Jonny Quinn, the conga player on
the single? Its just that Sally is quite interested in finding out ... :)


GORILLA
Who was it dressed in the gorilla suit? mail me privately, please, so that I
can win the Jeepster competition :)


LEGAL MAN VID
Still only seen the 50 seconds from Jo Whiley's programme. Neil has received
2 credits for his dancing talents, how about one for Banchory's own Venus de
Milo, Katrina, who I think I can spy frugging wildly too, adorned with a
hairslide big enough to outshine Trousers' one at ATP.


1 MIDLIFED-CRISIS 40SOMETHING
Gotta agree with Lucy about Calumn's talent for seizing the unflattering
snap. However, I don't think that the one of Steve "Soul Boy" Hewitt is the
most embarassing: that honour goes to the one of the bloke supposedly
watching him dance (but who was probably just wondering what the **** he was
doing in a noisy club full of er, young people at 2 in the morning)

Well done Mr Shearer. An interesting flash technique, too, bouncing it off
handy reflective surfaces...


THE VISITORS'
album "Miss" is now out on Matinée Recordings (matcd003). So get one, so
that you can thrill to the sound of the golden tonsils of the teenaged Tim
Hopkins. My favourites so far are Goldmining, Waking Up To Nothing &
Housewife's Choice.

pub after the Hefner in-store. An epithet that upon reflection could be
applied to more than one Sinisterine. Another quote for the footer, Princess
Honey?
