Stevie Wonder, that is.

Wassup?

I have three short points, then I'll be gone.

1) Last week I went to the pub round the corner from my work and walked in
to find "Beyond the Sunrise", followed by the rest of the album (on the
radio, not sitting having a pint). It was quite a shock, I can tell you.
Quite possibly the first time I've heard B&S in public. Good on that
man/woman (in the Crown & Two Chairman, if you're here). Interesting thought
- if the songs on the album were people, what would they drink? I have
really no idea.

2) That damned tit-wank of a pause half-way through the album - can there be
anything more pretentious than pretending your songs sound better with an lp
break in the middle? eh? it's not even as if anyone could change a record
over that quickly - I could've forgiven it if lasted about 2 mins. Makes me
angry.

3) I was wandering around Virgin the other day and noticed that the cover to
Kelvingrove Baby (by the Bathers) has changed - why? The girl on the cover
of the one I have* features a stunning young lady, who looks tall, elegant
and rich, and who, if Kylie knocks me back, I intend to marry. Why do people
mess with what ain't broke? (* this is me covering myself in case the one in
Virgin is the original.) This is still a damn fine album, even if some
people think he sounds like Bruce Springstein.

One nice thing, two horrible - 'snot bad, is it?

See ya,
M
