Hi Everybody,
that's right. This is my first mail-in. Just warning y'all.
Think I'm from Texas now, don't you?
My name's Nick. I'm a zen buddhist monk. Though primarily I just "am". I
was
ordained last January (in Japan) , but I live in Sydney Australia, so I'm
not a monastic monk or anything like that. I'm 20. Am studying Arts at
Sydney Uni -
Religious Studies, Japanese, Art History and Buddhism. What else? Oh yeah,
I
work as a DJ on weekends (just 21st b'days and stuff, no 'real' gigs, so to
speak, as of yet). I love movies, music, reading, talking, well, actually
pretty much everything. Pleasure or Pain, take it with open arms, thank
God you're alive. As a Norwegian Zen monk once told me.
So, why am I writing to you? I love Belle and Sebastian's music. But
they're not gods or heroes or anything more than ordinary people (in my
opinion at least). They're obviously just wise guys with a wonderful gift.
And the other reason, well, I've been reading your messages and you seem
like interesting, alive, thinking people as well. So I'd love to be a part
of your group.
So, I look forward to enjoying the 'submissions' to the mailing list and
enjoy the new album guys. Hey, it's not as if I've got it yet. I do live in
Oz
remember...
Cheers,
Nick
Ps. I wrote this message two weeks ago but soon found out I was barred for
that moment.
I do have the album now. I really love 'Don't Leave the light on baby'.
Btw, how's Legal Man faring in Britain?
It's not that 'mainstream' is it?
