Sinister: "don't let the paaastels get you down"

that's what i heard when listening to the lucksmiths' untidy towns for
the first time.
it's actually "barstools", not pastels. silly me.

hello all ye sinister people!

i haven't posted since november. the reason? well, since december, i've
been at least one week behind you lot, but now we are back on the same
time zone.

(at last.)

things have become GRATE, even BLUDDY GRATE, since i last used my
voice. what can i say to that, except "Grate!"

the village thing is fab, as is the new website. would luverly laura
llew need some help running her bookstore? i could imagine that the
people of sinister are buying piles of books. i actually work in a
bookstore, have been working since november, the biggest in town. (tho
it doesn't mean best, we have loads of worthless shite, as well as the
interesting ones. it's sad to see people buying so many useless
self-help books and bad novels)
so, working full-time means a well deserved break from uni. 

(i could also run the photo shop (sorry, is this the right word?), ie be
the village photographer. or is there one already, i dont remember. i
probably 'ave more experience in photographing than in selling books.
in fact, i'm trying to get into the local "artsy-fartsy" school to study
photography.)



before bidding farewell, i must thank You for introducing new (to me, at
least) and grate music to me. thanks to sinister i've had the courage to
buy records by felt, field mice, go-betweens, salako, hefner, marine
research, lucksmiths et al. and right now i'm listening to kate
rusby: she does not rock, she folks.  ;)
just one example: i bought field mice's where 'd you.. without ever
having heard them before. i now know i can trust Your taste.


and yes, jaffa cakes rule the school. ;)
