Hmm.. why doesn't this surprise me?

Robin Stout wondered:

> By the way, does anyone
>know what book Lazy Line Painter Jane has, on her e.p.? It looks
>like a textbook or something.

Eagle Eye Kerry helpfully replied:

>well, i'd never bothered to look before, but it appears to be
>something like "reason and reality" by john polkinghorne. if i had
>the 12" it would probably be easier to see.

Well here's a library catalogue record for it I got from the wonderful

Well done kerry. I have no idea how you managed to make this out without the
12" or incredible image enhancement software like they have in police dramas.
Are you magic?

Sounds like a cracking read, anyway. I can just picture Stuart discussing its
ramifications with the vicar over tea and chocolate fingers.

I've still no idea what the book on the front of the boxed set, sorry *slipcase*
is. But the cover looks like it's a maddeningly familiar imprint.

Has anyone else noticed how since Honey's been away, there have been no posts
from Peter Miller? The rumour rumbles on.

In common with all right-minded folk, I'm greatly looking forward to Alasdair's
next five best things of 2000. My friends and I tried to come up with 2000
predictions for the year 2000, but we stalled on about no.684. I'll have to
cross reference my list with Ally's to see how we're doing.

nick xx
