I got sent my voice yesterday, so here it is...

Oh dear, a thousand or so people are reading this so I'd better not say
anything stupid :)

YORK PICNIC

Lots of cheeky pigeons tried to steal our food, but didn't like the
strawberries.  


S***ING OUT

When Hefner were selling fridge magnets at the gig in Cardiff I accused
them of "going a bit commercial" and they pointed out that if they
didn't sell magnets then they wouldn't have enough money to tour.


BAND MERCHANDISE

Apart from my Hefner fridge magnets (and Mogwai earplugs) I don't have
any band merchandise. I feel silly in band T-shirts. Does anyone else ?
Should I start wearing them so B&S/Hefner fans will talk to me ? Can you
get Tim Buckley T-shirts ?


LITTLE ANECDOTE

I was walking up a hill lined on one side with a high brick wall, and a
woman with one of those upright shopping trolley thingys that old people
have (though she wasn't that old) was coming at me from the other
direction. As I was nearer to the wall I stuck to it so there'd be room
for us to both pass...but so did she...and very nearly ran me over with
her trolley. "I DON'T THINK SO", she snarled, "YOU'RE YOUNGER THAN I
AM". I wondered how she could be so bitter on such a nice sunny morning.
Three points for discussion: 

1) Why clatter about with a bulky shopping trolley obstructing
rights-of-way
when you could have a nice big rucksack on your back, safely out of
everyone's way ?
2) When passing someone is being by the wall generally regarded as
privileged position ? (and if so, why ?)
3) What's my age got to do with anything ? (20 yesterday, by the way.
Spent the afternoon demonstrating my maturity by playing on the swings
and seesaws in the park).

I'm chained to a desk in the library till it closes at 10.00pm, so if
anyone wants to send me funny emails at regular intervals throughout the
day then please do.
