Sinister: the best of Dokken

i happened to be trapped in a hellish state of boredom tonight, and my 
roommate turned on VH-1. And that was when i saw something more horrifying 
than www.michaeldouglas.com (though i never thought that possible). the 
backstreet boys were performing 'i want it that way' while being accompanied 
on vocals by STING. oh my sweet jesus, i didn't think anything could be so 
wrong as hearing gordon sumner utter the lyrics 'you are... my fire/the 
one...deeesiurrrr.' it sends a wave of nausea over me even now.

the opening band for Supergrass last monday in los angeles was... 
interesting. they're called Tsar and the lead singer looks like a male 
version of eartha kitt. i wonder if he can meow.

what say the los angeles contingent of the list get together one day soon 
and drink profusely? the kind of profuse drinking that lands you in china 
town and possibly involves karaoke. sound good? i thought so.
